Madison - The Madison Athletic Foundation (MAF) has partnered with the Rotary Clubs of Madison and Florham Park at this year’s Rotary Family Festival to run the “Games of Chance” amusements with all net proceeds going to support the Madison Recreation Center (MRC) turf fields project. Volunteers including Madison High School student-athletes, MAF members and representatives from the many sports booster clubs in Madison will run the games of chance beginning on Thursday, September 8th through Sunday, September 11th. The games will be open on Thursday from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM until 9 PM.
“It’s great to see a community come together and support local charities in such a fun, family-oriented way, “ said Marty Horn, MAF chairman, “The Foundation’s focus now is on fundraising for the MRC turf project and running the Rotary Family Festival Games of Chance is a great way to engage the community in our fundraising effort. If the weather is good the festival should be a huge success. We want people to know when you come the festival this weekend and spend money on the Games of Chance you’ll be supporting our fields!”
PSE&G’s regional public affairs manager, George Sous, presented the Madison Athletic Foundation with a check for $2,500 for the new turf field project at the June 23rd Borough Council meeting. Read all about in Madison Patch’s story.
